ACT, SAT and AP exam changes due to COVID-19 for Spring 2020

Attention students who are registered for or were planning to register for the ACT, SAT or AP exams this spring. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ACT Corporation and the College Board (creators of the SAT and AP exams), have made important changes to the testing schedule and/or testing procedures. Here is a summary with links to their sites for details:

ACT

The April 4, 2020 ACT exam was canceled. Students who have already registered for that exam will receive an email from ACT in the next few days informing them of postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13 or a future national test date.  For full details from the ACT, go to:

SAT

The May 2, 2020 SAT exam has been canceled. Students who have already registered for that exam will receive refunds. The College Board is working with test centers to see if they can safely administer the June SAT. For full details from the College Board, go to:

AP

The AP exams scheduled for May 2020 will go on. To check the schedule for any changes, go to:

Testing procedures have changed significantly. This year there will be no in-person AP exams. All AP exams will be taken online.  They will be open book/open essay with timed sections.
